Nikah Service

Marriage (nikah) is a sacred social contract between bride and groom as well as an occasion of joy for all those involved. The marriage solemnisation service can be provided by the Waltham Forest Islamic Association where the Nikah is performed by the Masjid Imam at a suitable location of choice. The newly married couple is provided with an official Nikah Certificate (approved by the Registry Office in accordance to Islamic Law) at the conclusion of the service.

It is advisable that the Nikah is booked at least 3 weeks prior to the planned date. Please note that the summer months are a busy time for Nikah ceremonies so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

The following documentation is required for the Nikah:

• Photo ID
• Proof of Address
• Date of Nikah
• Preferred Time
• Birth Certificates
• Divorcees – Decree Absolute & Talak Documents
• Widow/Widower – Former spouses death certificate
