Masjid Services & Jummah Suspension
Temporary suspension of all daily activities!
Due to the global coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) WFIA have gone through consultations and have taken expert opinions on the best way forward for our members and congregation. As a community we must take all precautionary measures to prevent its spread and harm.
WFIA serves thousands of worshippers on a weekly basis and your welfare and safety is paramount. This has been an extremely tough choice and unprecedented but one we hope inshaAllah will not only slow the rate of virus transmission but also directly save lives.
Although the Masjid will remain closed to the public, rest assured that the Imam and committee will continue to make each jamaat to maintain this practise and pray for your safety and that of the Ummah.
We can assure you that the Masjid will open as soon as it is safe to do so.
In the meantime the Masjid volunteers and committee will try and proactively help the most vulnerable and the needy who will be most affected by social distancing whether Muslim or Non Muslim. Please reach out to us via phone, email or Facebook.
During this test from Allah SWT we ask our Muslim community to now establish centres of worship at home, make the call to prayer, prostrate as families in congregation and make abundant Du’a (supplication). We know Sadaqah (charity) alleviates calamities by the permission of Allah (swt), so let us give more. The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said ‘Give Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.’ [Tirmidhi]
Please continue to support the Masjid during its temporary suspension, visit www.wfia.co.uk to make a regular online donation, for updates please also view or join us on Facebook:
